We have all heard the term “less is more”, but here at dotloop we are here to tell you less is better. Recently, we had the opportunity to witness this first hand with real estate broker/owner Kirk Short. Kirk is a second generation Realtor that has been with his family-owned RE/MAX office out of Wichita, Kansas for a little more than 16 years! Having an established and well-known operation certainly helps build the clientele, but Kirk is not one to become complacent. Kirk recently answered some questions for us in regards to how dotloop has helped evolve his business, and his answers help to better explain why less is indeed better, and complacency is not a part of his vocabulary.

Walk me through your real estate transaction process before using dotloop. How do your transactions differ today, with dotloop?

“Prior to dotloop we were the first office in the State of Kansas to utilize a competitors product that the Kansas Association of Realtors offered. Although robust it was not user/agent friendly and did not provide for Electronic Signatures. It did however provide us with the ability to be the first office to be remotely audited by the Kansas Real Estate Commission. Today, however, I have the same capability however with a platform that is user-friendly for my agents, as well as our consumers. Even more importantly the ease in which we can obtain needed signatures has made life easier!”

Are there any specific company strategies/goals/challenges that your company faced that you needed to address?

“Obtaining and distributing signed documents among everyone needing access to a file without degrading the actual document.”

With dotloop agents and brokers are able to obtain and distribute signed documents with a click of the mouse. Since the documents on dotloop are updated in real time you never have to worry about loss of integrity with your documents.

Prior to implementing dotloop, what tools (if any) did you have in place that you were able to replace with dotloop?

“Our older Transaction Management software that was not evolving.”

At dotloop we are constantly researching new ways to evolve alongside our agents and brokers. We agree with Kirk that a transaction management system should grow and evolve to become better for those who use the system. We’re grow alongside Kirk and everyone else who partners with our company.

Collectively, how much (on average) was spent yearly on those services? How does that compare to the cost of dotloop BUSINESS+?

“At the end of the day it is hard to calculate the savings with Dotloop as the ease factor of getting all the docs together and signed…let alone the ease in the actual file management is well worth the investment made. This system saves us money!”

We love this. We absolutely love this. Making the lives of our agents and brokers easier brings a smile to our face. Knowing that our agents are saving money by using dotloop brings an even bigger smile to our face. It’s as simple as that.

Are there any increases in productivity, deals made, new clients, etc. that you would attribute to your adoption of dotloop?

“I do not know how to quantify increased business. I can tell you since using this system it has made my life as a Broker/Owner and my life as an agent trying to work with clients and get deals done immensely easier. This has resulted in additional deals! I am extremely satisfied with the system, service, and dedication of the dotloop team!”

What do your agents think about using dotloop? What percentage of agents in your agency are using dotloop?

“100% of my agents use this system!”

Kirk and all of his agents use this system for various reasons. Not only does dotloop simplify everyday business processes for Kirk, but he also states “ease of use” as the one thing he loves most about dotloop. Kirk also describes that, “most of his clientele embrace and appreciate the technology.” He even told us that several of his clients request to use dotloop before even telling them he already does.
