We created dotloop to help you work better together with others. On dotloop, you can share content (such as documents) and personal information (such as name and brokerage), making it faster and easier for you to complete your work. We want to make sure you understand what we do with what you share – and why your privacy is safe with dotloop.
First off, the legal jargon…
dotloop Terms & Conditions
dotloop allows all of its users – agents, brokers and associations – to freely upload documents. This means you can get more done because the ability to add more files is all yours. That being said, dotloop respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same, while following in strict accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998. (View our full copyright policy)
Our users determine what documents to upload. However, if we discover or are alerted to an alleged copyright infringement in regard to a user’s content inside the dotloop application, we will respond accordingly.
Further, dotloop will not share any of the documents or content, regardless of the type, without your permission. If you don’t share it – neither do we. It’s that simple.
To create the best experience possible, dotloop collects information you provide when you register an account or fill out forms on the dotloop application. This helps us provide features like pre-filled documents and other timesavers. dotloop would never distribute your information to anyone without your permission, and we will never sell your personal information, period. We respect your privacy way too much to do that.
This may include partnering with strategic 3rd-party businesses that can offer our users an added value or benefit on an opt-in basis. In these cases, any information shared between platforms is strictly limited to usage within that 3rd-party system, which you can opt-out of at any time.
And last but not least…
At dotloop, we go to great lengths to protect you, your content and your information. We’re here to help you work better with others, and we know you can’t do that unless you’re comfortable with how we use your information.
We get it. Some companies try to make a quick buck by selling users’ personal information, transactional information or intellectual property to another company – dotloop isn’t in that business.
Our customers are the most important part of what we do, and we work every day to ensure we’re providing the best experience possible. Our success depends on keeping your trust and making your life easier – two things we never lose sight of.
